Overview
The Agribusiness Initiative seeks to highlight the agricultural sector and related industries in the US-Africa relationship. Recognizing the tremendous value for both American and African companies in building a shared supply chain, the Agribusiness Initiative is addressing the persistent disconnection between the African and American Agribusiness sectors by becoming the nexus for US-Africa agribusiness commerce. By focusing on information collection and publications, fostering transatlantic agribusiness deals and entrepreneurship, and industry advocacy, the Agribusiness Initiative will demystify the process for American companies to enter African markets and vice versa.

The agribusiness initiative meets with key stakes holders in the US and Africa in both government and industry to advocate for policies that benefit US-Africa agricultural trade and investment. The initiative also works to crowd more American and Africa agribusiness companies to show the potential investment opportunities available to engage is US-Africa trade.

Africa’s agricultural sector is projected to become an increasingly important sector for trade, food security, and employment. As such, CCA Ag initiative seeks to connect small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to scale their businesses. The agribusiness initiative works with small and medium innovative African enterprises to connect them with capital and technical resources in America.
